Who we are

MetalX Engineering Inc. is a family-run engineering company with over three decades of metal-working experience. We began as a precision engineering works and grew into a specialist manufacturer of accessibility products: tactile warning studs, tactile directional strips, integrated tactile tiles, road studs, pyramid road studs and cycleway marking studs. Today tactile indicators are our core business, and we manufacture them in stainless steel (SS 304 and SS 316), brass, aluminium, polyurethane and porcelain.

What we make

Every product in our range shares one geometry so that materials can be combined across a project: warning studs Ø35 mm and 4.5 mm high on a 50 mm grid, directional bars 280 × 35 × 4.5 mm at 75 mm centres, and 300 × 300 mm integrated tiles with 36 studs or 4 bars. We supply every fixing method (stem, poly sleeve, hollow back, 3M self-adhesive and screw-fix), a choice of top patterns (concentric ring, diamond, plain, carborundum insert, poly insert) and PVD colour coatings, and we include fibreboard installation templates with every order.

How we work

• In-house manufacturing. Machining, pressing, moulding and finishing are done at our Mumbai facility, where raw material is tested on arrival and finished goods are inspected before packing.
• Standards-led. Our dimensions align with AS/NZS 1428.4.1:2009 and ISO 23599:2019, and we hold tooling for ADA §705 truncated domes and for Indian metro and airport drawings.
• Stock and speed. Standard sizes are kept in stock; non-stock items are made in 3–4 days; urgent orders are delivered anywhere in the world within 7 days.
• Export expertise. We are a Government of India recognised Export House and handle documentation, packing and freight to the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and more than 140 other countries.

Metro rail corporations, airport operators, municipal bodies, hospital groups, universities, mall and hotel developers, architects, accessibility consultants and flooring contractors. A client on a Saudi Arabia metro project described our SS 316 tactile studs as “excellent quality, delivered on time”.
