View specifications →MetalX Engineering Inc. manufactures tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI) for platform edges, stairs, crossings and guiding paths. One geometry across five materials, standard sizes in stock, and delivery to more than 142 countries within 7 days.

In short: Tactile indicators are raised warning studs and directional bars that let blind and vision-impaired pedestrians detect hazards and follow routes. MetalX makes them in stainless steel SS 304 / 316, brass, aluminium, polyurethane and porcelain, as individual studs (Ø35 mm, 4.5 mm high), 280 mm directional strips and 300 × 300 mm integrated tiles, with drill-fix, 3M self-adhesive and screw-fix options.
Every product below shares the same dome and bar geometry, so materials can be mixed across a project without changing the tactile signal underfoot.

Tactile ground surface indicators are raised studs, bars or tiles installed on floors and pavements so that blind and vision-impaired people can detect hazards and follow routes by foot or cane. Warning studs mark hazards such as stairs and platform edges; directional bars guide along a safe path.
Stainless steel (SS 304 and SS 316), brass, aluminium, polyurethane (PU) and porcelain. All are made to one geometry: Ø35 mm studs 4.5 mm high on a 50 mm grid, 280 × 35 × 4.5 mm bars at 75 mm centres, and 300 × 300 mm tiles.
The stud and bar dimensions align with AS/NZS 1428.4.1:2009 and fall within ISO 23599:2019 ranges. ADA §705 truncated-dome profiles are available for US projects, and products are supplied to Indian Harmonised Guidelines 2021, DMRC and airport drawings.
Standard sizes are held in stock at the Mumbai factory. Non-stock items are manufactured in 3–4 working days, and urgent orders can be delivered worldwide within 7 days by air courier.
